Carlos Queiroz has dismissed reports claiming he has stepped down as head coach of Ghana, insisting that he remains in charge of the Black Stars.

The experienced Portuguese tactician clarified the situation after speculation spread online following a farewell message he shared on social media after Ghana's 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign came to an end.

Speaking to a Ghanaian supporter who asked about the rumours, Queiroz firmly denied resigning from his position.

"I'm still the coach of the Black Stars, and I haven't resigned!" he said.

According to Queiroz, his social media post was simply a message of appreciation to Ghanaians for their support and was never intended to announce his departure.
