An extremely challenging situation in the career of Real Madrid and Brazil national team winger.

Rodrygo believes he did not deserve such an injury, but he fully trusts in God:

"Even without understanding, I trust you.

One of the worst days of my life, as I always feared this injury... Maybe life has been a bit harsh with me lately... I don't know if I deserve this, but what is there to complain about? I've experienced so many wonderful things that I didn't deserve either.

A major obstacle has arisen in my life, in my career, and now I can't do what I love for a while. I'm out for the rest of the season with my club and will miss the World Cup with my country, a dream that everyone knows means so much to me. All that's left is to stay strong as always, nothing new.

Thank you all for your prayers, messages, and love! You guys are so important to me. Even though this is a very difficult time, I promise not to stop here, I believe I still have many amazing things to do to make all those who trust me happy, it's just a 'see you soon'... God is still in control of everything." Rodrygo wrote on his page.

Rodrygo suffered his cruciate ligament tear in a La Liga match against Getafe. At first, the injury didn’t seem that severe, but after medical examinations it became clear – the injury is extremely serious.

This season, Rodrygo played 27 matches, scoring three goals and providing six assists.
