Brazil are gearing up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the team’s star forward, Vinícius, has shared his expectations for the tournament.
Details: Speaking at a press conference ahead of the World Cup, Vinícius said he believes he has the ability to change the story for both his country and his teammates.
Quote: "There are eight games left; I can change this story for our country and for the players. I’m not talking about goals or assists, but about playing well and giving the team confidence. It doesn’t matter how many goals I score. What matters is what we achieve," Vinícius said.
Brazil will begin their World Cup campaign against Morocco on June 14. They have also been drawn in a group alongside Haiti and Scotland.
Reminder: Ahead of Brazil’s opening match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, one of the biggest questions surrounding the team was whether Neymar would recover in time to take part in the game.
