The Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana made the transition to Manchester United from Inter, following his pivotal role in propelling the Italian team to the final of last season's Champions League and securing his place in the season's symbolic team. His exceptional performance captured the attention of the "Red Devils" leadership, resulting in a £48 million payment to Inter for his services.

However, Onana's initiation into English football saw numerous errors, prompting questions about his future just months after signing a five-year contract. Despite this, the 27-year-old goalkeeper pledged to rectify all shortcomings and showcase his mastery, especially to those who prematurely discounted his abilities.

During an interview with Sky Sports, the Cameroonian assessed his contributions to Manchester United. He refuted any notion of a decline in his play and expressed confidence that over time, things would improve for the "Red Devils" beyond their current state.

"In terms of the season at Manchester United, I am dissatisfied because I know I can achieve much more. I am aware I can perform better than I currently am.

We are going through a rough patch. I hope the situation changes soon. But tell me, do you believe the best goalkeeper of last season's Champions League can become the worst in the world in half a year? No. It's all temporary. I know everything will be alright. If not today, then tomorrow, and if not tomorrow, then the day after."

At present, Manchester United is grappling with subpar performances. In recent weeks, the team slipped to seventh place in the Premier League and exited European competitions following the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. The club has suffered two consecutive defeats, securing only one victory in their last five matches across all competitions. Today, Manchester United faces Liverpool, where the "Red Devils" endeavor not to relive the bitter experience of last season when they suffered a 7-0 defeat at the hands of the Merseyside club.
