Hussein Ammouta is expected to become Al Ahly’s new head coach
The Moroccan tactician is expected in Cairo to officially sign the deal.
Egypt’s Al Ahly are on the hunt for a new coach following their parting of ways with Danish manager Jess Thorup. The Red Devils are looking to bounce back after a chaotic season marked by their failure to qualify for next season’s CAF Champions League.
As such, the Egyptian giants are reportedly on the verge of entrusting the leadership of their coaching staff to Hussein Ammouta. The 56-year-old Moroccan will be Al Ahly’s new head coach, according to revelations by Ahmed Hassan. He is expected in Cairo in the coming hours to sign his contract. A deal is reportedly almost done; all that remains is the finalisation and official announcement.
Hussein Ammouta is an experienced coach with an impressive track record. He won the CAF Champions League with Wydad Casablanca. The Moroccan tactician also has other titles to his name.
