Hummels to leave Roma at season’s end with a clear goal in mind

Former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels joined Roma in September, but his stay at the Stadio Olimpico will be short-lived.

Details: According to La Repubblica, Hummels wants to be closer to his family and, therefore, has no plans to extend his contract, which expires in a few months. His goal is to return to Germany, where he intends to finish his career. He is open to offers from clubs that can provide him with regular playing time.

Reminder: During Roma’s coaching changes, Hummels struggled for minutes, but that changed under Claudio Ranieri. The veteran defender has since become a key player, featuring in eight Serie A matches for the Giallorossi.
