Hull City Agree €20m Deal to Sign Senegal Defender Nobel Mendy From Rayo Vallecano
Hull City are closing in on the signing of Senegal international defender Nobel Mendy from Spanish club Rayo Vallecano after reportedly reaching an agreement on a deal worth around €20 million plus add-ons.
The Tigers have made the 21-year-old centre-back one of their major targets and are now understood to have reached an agreement with Rayo over the transfer fee.
According to Spanish journalist Marcos Benito, around €4 million of the deal could go to Real Betis through a sell-on clause included in Mendy's previous transfer.
Mendy has attracted significant attention following an impressive spell with Rayo Vallecano last season. The defender initially joined the Madrid-based club on loan before Rayo decided to make the transfer permanent after being impressed by his performances.
During the 2025/26 La Liga campaign, Mendy made 24 appearances and scored two goals.
