How shameful! Man City medic David McNally confessed to stealing items from the locker room
David McNally, a member of Manchester City's medical staff who served the club for 15 years, has admitted to stealing items from the team's locker room, reports sport.es. He now faces a prison sentence, with the trial set for February 2025.
It was revealed that McNally stole massage equipment, training kits, players' boots, and medical supplies. Among his "trophies" were eight autographed Man City jerseys valued at €9,700, as well as a poster signed by all players from the 2021/22 season. These thefts were confirmed by the security team at the Etihad Stadium. Reports also indicated that he had taken personalized boots belonging to Aymeric Laporte and Sergio Agüero.
Following police searches, some of the stolen items were found at McNally's home. He also maintained an eBay profile where he sold the stolen goods, earning around €30,000 from his activities.
Suspicion first arose in February 2023 when a training kit went missing from one of the City players. McNally became the prime suspect after security cameras at the stadium captured evidence implicating him.
