Last summer, Harry Kane swapped Tottenham for Bayern Munich, earning a staggering £1.8 million per month. However, despite the English national team leader's high income, he is not the highest-paid footballer in Europe.

The top spot is occupied by French national team forward and, for now, Paris Saint-Germain player Kylian Mbappe. According to L'Equipe, the Frenchman's salary is nearly three times higher than Kane's, at £5.2 million per month. However, this could change significantly at the end of the season when the forward changes clubs. Previously known information suggests that if he transfers to Real Madrid, Mbappe's salary will decrease significantly to just £13 million per year.

Manchester City's star duo Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland occupy the third and fourth spots respectively. The Belgian earns £1.7 million per month, while the Norwegian receives £1.63 million.

El Clasico rivals David Alaba and Robert Lewandowski are in fifth and sixth place. Real Madrid's defender earns £1.61 million per month, while the salary of Barcelona's Polish striker is £100,000 less, at £1.6 million per month.

The seventh spot is shared between English Premier League rivals Casemiro of Manchester United and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, both earning £1.5 million per month.

Rounding out the top nine highest-paid footballers in Europe at the moment is another Manchester United player, Raphael Varane, who earns £1.47 million per month.
