The latest tennis week has drawn to a close.

The women competed for the trophy at the hardcourt WTA 1000 tournament in Dubai (UAE), while the men contended for titles across three tournaments simultaneously: the ATP 500 in Rio de Janeiro, and the ATP 250s in Los Cabos and Doha.

The competitions in the UAE concluded quite unexpectedly. The champion emerged as Jasmine Paolini, who triumphed over Anna Kalinskaya in the final. The Italian staged a remarkable comeback in the third set from a 3-5 deficit. For her victory on the courts of Dubai, Paolini earned $308,320.

The most prestigious tournament for men last week was the 500-level event in Brazil. The victor was Sebastian Baez, who defeated Mariano Navone in the final match. The Argentine received a prize purse of $392,775.

A noteworthy and intriguing event was held in Doha, where the triumphant player was Karen Khachanov. In the final, the neutral player emerged victorious over Jakub Menšík with a score of 7-6, 6-4. In addition to the title, Khachanov claimed $212,300.

As for Los Cabos, the champion was the sensational Jordan Thompson, securing his first ATP 250-level trophy at the age of 29. Furthermore, he clinched victory in the doubles category alongside Max Purcell. In total, Thompson earned $187,550 from his performances in Mexico ($139,190 for singles and $48,360 for doubles).
