Honduras and Curaçao Set for Winner-Takes-All Clash in Gold Cup Group B Honduras and Curaçao Set for Winner-Takes-All Clash in Gold Cup Group B

Group B of the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup will come to a dramatic close on Tuesday as Honduras and Curaçao square off at PayPal Park in San José, California. According to Concacaf, the historical record between the two sides is remarkably balanced, with five wins apiece and three draws over thirteen total meetings.

Honduras enters the match in second place with three points, boosted by a 2-0 win over El Salvador. Romell Quioto and Dixon Ramírez were the scorers, and a win would see Los Catrachos through to the quarterfinals.

Curaçao remains unbeaten after drawing both of their matches. Their latest was a dramatic 1-1 tie against Canada, sealed by a stoppage-time goal from Jeremy Antonisse in the 94th minute.

This will be just their second-ever Gold Cup meeting. The first, in 2019, ended in a 1-0 Curaçao win courtesy of Leandro Bacuna. They repeated the feat in the 2022/23 Nations League with a 2-1 triumph in San Pedro Sula — their first official Concacaf win on Honduran soil.

With everything on the line, Tuesday’s match promises to be a defining moment for both sides.
