Home Frustration Continues for Warri Wolves After Ozoro Draw
Warri Wolves ended their 2025 Nigeria Premier Football League first-round campaign with another frustrating home result on Sunday in Ozoro. The Seasiders were held to an entertaining 2–2 draw by fellow promoted side Wikki Tourists at the Southern Delta University Stadium.
Defensive errors again proved costly, as the Delta side dropped 16 points at home from just 10 matches. Technical Adviser Napoleon Aluma admitted, “We made silly mistakes at the back… conceding that second goal was really hard to take.” He added that “There is room for improvement… Our target is to pick a continental ticket at the end of the season.”
Wikki Tourists’ adviser Abdul Maikaba praised his players, saying, “We had a game plan… and it was a deserved result.”
The teams meet again on January 7.
