At just 18 years and 354 days old, the winger became the youngest European player ever to reach 10 appearances at major international tournaments for a winning team.

The previous record belonged to Kylian Mbappé, who reached this milestone at 23 years and 355 days. Thus, Yamal shattered the French star’s record by more than five years.

The 18-year-old continues to rewrite the annals of world football, consistently setting new age records and cementing his status as one of the brightest talents of his generation. However, in the match against Austria, Yamal did not register a goal involvement and was substituted in the 85th minute.

Recall: Spain opens the scoring against Austria, but the referee disallows the goal. What happened?
