High temperature is reported in one of the top biathletes before the start of the World Cup

The Italian biathlete, Dorothea Wierer, has found a high temperature a few days before the start of the World Cup, as stated by the athlete on her Instagram.

The three-time bronze Olympic medalist in biathlon posted a photo with a thermometer showing 39 degrees, captioned: "In time, as always." It's worth noting that she has already missed the preseason race in November. Most likely, she will also miss the first stage in Ostersund.

Dorothea Wierer is an Italian biathlete, Olympic medalist, three-time world champion, medalist at world championships, and the winner of two Overall Crystal Globes in the IBU World Cup for the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 seasons.

In the previous season, Dorothea achieved her 50th career medal. Thanks to such successes, she managed to secure a high second place in the overall standings of the World Cup, only behind the French athlete Julia Simon.
