‘He's the most influential player in Premier League’. Jaap Stam has spoken out about Cole Palmer's prospects
Cole Palmer, the former Manchester City player, has become a real star at Chelsea since his £42.5m transfer in 2023. He scored 36 goals and gave 21 assists in 63 games, quickly justifying the club's investment.
He is currently valued at €130m according to Transfermarkt. However, former Manchester United player Jaap Stam believes it could soon rise to 200 million.
Quote. ‘He is confident on the ball and creative, but he is still a big goal threat. He uses his strengths to help his partners, and for me, he is the most influential player in the Premier League at the moment!
But on his current form, probably no club can afford to acquire him. If things go the way they are going, he could cost £200m in the future,’ sportslens.com quoted the Man United legend as saying.
Reminder. Manchester United are rumoured to be interested in Palmer. The footballer hails from Manchester and was a fan of the club as a child.
However, the transition seems unlikely: the player's contract with Chelsea runs until 2033, and United's financial situation does not allow fighting for his signing.
