According to the Brazilian, he has no desire to leave Real and hopes to sign a new long-term deal with Los Blancos:
"I want to stay at Real for a long time. My contract extension? I still have a year left. We are very relaxed about it. I trust the president, he trusts me, we have a very good relationship.
We’ll sort everything out at the right time. There’s no rush," Vinicius said.
Previously, both parties attempted to reach an agreement on an extension, but negotiations always stalled. The media also reported that the main reason for the failed talks was then-head coach Xabi Alonso, whose presence reportedly made Vinicius reluctant to sign a new contract. Now, with Alonso gone, Vinicius has made it clear those rumors were true.
This season, Vinicius has played 30 matches for Real, scoring 7 goals and providing 11 assists. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at €150 million.
