Details: Today, on their official X social media page, Newcastle United officially announced a contract extension with Harvey Barnes, securing one of their key players for years to come.
Although the 28-year-old winger still had two years left on his current deal, the club's management decided to extend his stay ahead of time, underlining his crucial role in the project.
Last season was one of the best in the Englishman's career: Barnes netted 16 goals and has scored a total of 30 goals in 120 appearances since joining Newcastle.
The winger himself commented on his new contract:
"Newcastle is a special club. It's been an incredible journey, and I'm delighted to be able to continue it with this team."\
The exact terms of Barnes' new contract with Newcastle will be announced a bit later.
