Manchester United can breathe easy: their captain is going nowhere.

Details: According to the Daily Mirror, Bruno Fernandes has made a major decision over his future amid fresh transfer interest: the Portugal midfielder remains fully committed to Manchester United despite approaches from clubs abroad. The Red Devils have faced growing speculation over their captain in recent weeks, but the club are keen to keep their leader at all costs.

The intrigue peaked this week when Turkish giants Galatasaray tabled an audacious offer worth around €50 million for the 31-year-old playmaker — a bid United rejected out of hand, declaring their captain not for sale at any price. Juventus and AC Milan also monitored the situation, while last summer Fernandes famously turned down a mega-money proposal from Saudi side Al-Hilal.

Instead of packing his bags, the midfielder is now in talks over a new contract — his current deal expires next summer, with an option for a further year, and United have already opened negotiations on fresh terms. Fernandes earned this loyalty with a historic 2025/26 campaign: his 21 assists set a new Premier League single-season record, surpassing Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry, as United finished third to secure Champions League football.

It's worth noting that Fernandes was named Premier League Player of the Season for 2025/26, and United kick off their new campaign on August 22 away at Hull City.

Reminder: Generous €50 million offer! Turkish giants attempt to lure Manchester United's leader.
