Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has refused to blame goalkeeper André Onana for his costly mistakes in their 3-2 loss to Nottingham Forest. Onana failed to save two relatively easy shots, contributing to the team’s defeat.
Quote. "He [Onana] has saved us many times, so we should have found a way to turn things around and score two goals to support our goalkeeper. For example, he saved us in the match against Ipswich Town.
We knew this was going to be a long process, but we want to win. It’s a huge job. We need to improve many things. This happened to me at Sporting in the beginning too. Manchester United comes with more attention, but for me, it’s the same feeling," said Amorim.
Context. Ruben Amorim’s tenure at Manchester United has had a shaky start. After a draw against Ipswich Town and a win over Everton, the Red Devils have suffered back-to-back defeats against Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.
