"He’s not my player": Ancelotti refuses to discuss Real Madrid’s interest in Alexander-Arnold

On Wednesday, November 27, the marquee clash of the UEFA Champions League group stage's fifth round will see Liverpool host Real Madrid at Anfield.

The match has gained additional intrigue due to ongoing speculation linking Real Madrid with Liverpool captain Trent Alexander-Arnold.

However, at the pre-match press conference, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti dismissed the topic, refusing to discuss the Reds’ right-back.

Quote: "I’m sorry, but I cannot talk about Trent Alexander-Arnold. He’s not my player," Ancelotti stated succinctly.

Reminder: Earlier reports indicated that Alexander-Arnold returned to Liverpool training ahead of the match against Real Madrid. It remains unclear whether he will be available for the game.

Trent, whose current contract expires in the summer of 2025, will be eligible to negotiate with other clubs starting in January. Real Madrid reportedly sees him as a potential replacement for Dani Carvajal.
