"He's in great shape" - Borussia Dortmund defender has lost a few kilos ahead of the new season
Ahead of the UEFA Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid, a photograph of the Bees' center-back, Niklas Süle, circulated online, showing him overweight.
However, he has now attained remarkable fitness. As Borussia Dortmund's CEO Watzke revealed, Süle achieved the extraordinary.
"I thought: my goodness, we have a new player! It's wonderful how he managed it. He is in excellent shape, and I vastly prefer someone who recognizes their mistake and makes the necessary corrections," he stated.
According to Bild, Niklas Süle shed eight kilograms during the off-season by adhering to a specialized plan. Borussia Dortmund is highly satisfied with his progress. The center-back himself is highly motivated under the guidance of Nuri Şahin.
Last season, the 28-year-old played 31 matches across all competitions and scored one goal. He is considered a backup central defender, as the primary pair was Mats Hummels and Nico Schlotterbeck.
