England's national team head coach, Gareth Southgate, remarked that Jude Bellingham is feeling a bit down due to recent events that have unfolded for him. It's worth noting that the Real Madrid star has had to contend with injuries and a red card received during a match against Valencia.

The midfielder was sent off the field after the final whistle in the match against Los Che, following his appeals to the referee regarding a disallowed goal in injury time.

Ahead of the England national team's match against Brazil, the Three Lions' head coach gave an interview at Wembley, stating:

"These past few weeks have been tough for him due to injuries and the red card, so he's a little upset.

We're very fortunate to have him, but he's only 20 years old. The success of our team will depend on the entire squad."

It's worth reminding that today, the England national team will play a friendly match against Brazil as part of the preparation for the 2024 European Championship. Jude Bellingham's presence is expected in the starting lineup, as his main competitors for the national team won't be able to help the team. Jordan Henderson is injured, and Calvin Phillips didn't make it into Southgate's squad.

Bellingham may play in a more withdrawn position than he does at Real Madrid, while his place in midfield closer to the attacking line will be taken by Declan Rice and Phil Foden.
