Hervé Koffi will play for Union St.Gilloise next season
The Burkina Faso international goalkeeper has joined the Belgian club on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
Hervé Koffi is embarking on another loan spell. After a successful campaign with Angers in France’s Ligue 1 last season, the 26-year-old from Burkina Faso will play in the Belgian Pro League during the 2026–2027 season.
He has been loaned out by RC Lens to Union St.Gilloise for one season with an option to buy. Hervé Koffi distinguished himself during the 2025–2026 season with ten clean sheets in Ligue 1 whilst playing for Angers.
The Burkinabe goalkeeper is returning to a league he knows well. He previously played for Mouscron and Sporting Charleroi in the Belgian Pro League. When his transfer was made official, Hervé Koffi expressed his delight at joining the Belgian club.
“I am very happy and proud to become a Union player today. I am delighted to now be part of this family. It is a club with a wonderful history, but also an impressive track record in recent years. That really motivates me and I hope to be able to make my own contribution here.”
