Hervé Koffi set to join the Belgian Pro League

The Burkina Faso international goalkeeper is expected to sign for Union Saint-Gilloise.

Hervé Koffi is not expected to play in France’s Ligue 1 next season after a strong 2025–2026 campaign in which he kept 10 clean sheets for Angers. The Burkinabe player is set to leave this summer to join the Belgian league.

Having been loaned to Angers by RC Lens last season, Hervé Koffi is expected to go out on another loan. The Burkinabe international is reportedly due in Belgium to sign for a Pro League club.

Hervé Koffi is reported to have caught the eye of Union Saint-Gilloise, who are said to have made him their top priority during this summer’s transfer window. The Belgian club is said to have succeeded in convincing the 29-year-old goalkeeper, who is reportedly on his way to Belgium.

According to the Belgian press, the Burkina Faso international is expected to arrive on Thursday 30 July to sign for Union Saint-Gilloise. He is expected to join the Pro League club on a loan deal without an option to buy.

If the move goes ahead, it will be Hervé Koffi’s third spell in Belgium, following stints at Mouscron and Charleroi. The Burkinabe player is under contract with Lens until 30 June 2028.
