Here we go! Tottenham’s prized talent heads for Germany

Tottenham have made their decision on one of the club’s most exciting young attackers. Mikey Moore is heading to Germany after FC Köln finalised an agreement to take the player on loan.

Details: Fabrizio Romano reports that Köln have closed the deal with Tottenham for Moore. The move will be a straight loan, the player has been given permission to travel and no purchase option has been included. He will return to Spurs in June 2027.

The agreement gives Moore the opportunity to gain regular senior experience in the Bundesliga while Tottenham retain full control over a player they consider part of their long-term plans. The 18-year-old has been with Spurs since the age of seven, progressing through the academy before entering the first-team picture. He spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Rangers, where he played regularly and gained valuable experience in a demanding environment. Köln had been pursuing Moore for weeks, with reports in Germany repeatedly suggesting that the club was confident an agreement could be reached. The final structure is crucial for Tottenham because there is no buy clause in the deal. That means the London club will keep all rights to the winger when the loan ends. For Köln, his arrival could provide an important boost in attacking quality as the club looks to establish itself in the Bundesliga. Moore’s technique and willingness to take on defenders should bring a different element to the attack.

It’s worth noting that Moore is under contract with Tottenham until June 2030. The long-term deal explains why Spurs have chosen a temporary move, allowing the England youth international to develop abroad before returning to north London.
