Details: According to Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, 29-year-old RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner is set to officially become a player for the American club San Jose Earthquakes.
It is reported that Werner has already finalized all the details of his personal contract with San Jose, and the transfer will be officially announced later this week.
Werner returned to Leipzig this summer after his loan spell at Tottenham came to an end. This season, he managed to make just three appearances for Leipzig, but didn't register any goal contributions.
Werner's current contract with the "Red Bulls" runs until the summer of 2026, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 3 million euros.
