Here we go! Taiwo Awoniyi Set to Join Coventry City From Nottingham Forest

Coventry City have reportedly reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest to sign Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi in a permanent transfer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the agreement on Saturday, revealing that the two clubs have completed their negotiations and that Awoniyi's medical is already underway.

Romano reported:

“EXCLUSIVE: Coventry City agree deal to sign Taiwo Awoniyi from Nottingham Forest, here we go! 🇳🇬 Club to club agreement done, permanent move and also understand medical is now ongoing.”

The move would bring an end to Awoniyi's time at Nottingham Forest, where he has played since joining the club in 2022.

The 29-year-old Nigerian international arrived at Forest after several loan spells in Germany during his time with Liverpool. Despite being contracted to the Reds, Awoniyi never made a senior appearance for Liverpool.
