It is reported that Girona has already reached an agreement with the goalkeeper, and the final documents are now being prepared ahead of the official contract signing. Ter Stegen will join Girona on a six-month loan deal.
The official presentation of Marc-André ter Stegen as a Girona player is expected to take place later this week.
This season, Ter Stegen has made just one appearance for Barcelona — in the Copa del Rey against Guadalajara.
