The player will sign a contract running until June 2028. The agreement does not include an automatic renewal clause, and his salary will be around €4 million net per season.

The next step will be for Stones to undergo a medical in Milan, after which the transfer will be officially announced.

For Inter, this is one of the most high-profile signings of the current transfer window. The Italian club is acquiring a defender with vast experience at the highest level, who is expected to become a key figure in the team’s back line as soon as next season.

Stones’ previous club was Manchester City, where he had played since 2016, but he opted not to extend his contract this summer.
