London's Chelsea appear to have won the race against Manchester United for Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are set to trigger the release clause in the striker's contract with the recently relegated Premier League side, paying a fee of €30 million. Delap himself will put pen to paper with the recent Europa Conference League winners within the next 24 hours.
Additionally, 30% of the transfer sum—amounting to €9 million—will be allocated to Manchester City, as Delap moved from the Citizens to Ipswich last summer.
Reminder: Delap was also pursued by Manchester United, Newcastle United, Everton, Nottingham Forest, AC Milan, and Juventus, but the player made it clear that he wants to continue his career specifically at Chelsea.
