Here we go! Crystal Palace agrees loan deal for Chelsea defender
The French defender is set to continue his career with another London side.
Details: According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, Crystal Palace has reached a verbal agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of 28-year-old central defender Axel Disasi. The Frenchman is undergoing a medical with the Eagles this morning ahead of the official completion of the deal.
The clubs have agreed on a paid loan until the end of the current season. Under the terms of the agreement, Chelsea will receive a fixed loan fee, while Crystal Palace will cover the player's full salary.
It’s worth noting that Axel Disasi has been a Chelsea player since the summer of 2023, with his contract at Stamford Bridge running until June 2029. In the second half of the 2024/25 season, the Frenchman was loaned out to Aston Villa, and spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at West Ham, making 17 appearances across all competitions and scoring once. Currently, the reputable portal Transfermarkt values the defender at 15 million euros.
