Here we go! Chelsea strike €55m deal for Monaco star in deadline-day bombshell
Chelsea have made their decisive move in the final hours of the transfer window.
Details: According to renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have reached an agreement in principle with Monaco for the transfer of Senegal midfielder Lamine Camara. Romano has given the deal his famous “here we go”, reporting that the package is worth €55 million and that the player has already received authorization to travel for his medical.
The initial agreement between the clubs is now in place, but Chelsea still have work to do before the transfer can be formally completed. Camara must undergo his medical examination, while the clubs and the player's representatives need to finalize the remaining documentation.
The timing is especially important, with the parties working to complete all of the required medical and formal procedures before the transfer deadline. The authorization for Camara to travel represents another major step towards the move, although the transfer will only become official once the final paperwork has been signed and registered.
It is worth noting that Camara joined Monaco on July 30, 2024. According to the French club's official player profile, the Senegal international made 40 appearances in his first season with the Rouge et Blanc, scoring two goals and providing seven assists.
