Here we go! Bayer signs Roma defender Hermoso

Bayer Leverkusen has been searching for reinforcements in central defense this winter, and today they finalized an important transfer.

Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, Spanish center-back Mario Hermoso is moving to Bayer from Roma.

Hermoso joins Bayer on loan with an option to buy next summer. The transfer was specifically requested by head coach Xabi Alonso.

Last summer, Hermoso transferred to Roma from Atlético Madrid but struggled to secure a place in the Italian club’s lineup, featuring in just 8 Serie A matches and scoring 1 goal.

Reminder: Earlier today, it was reported that Bayer’s top scorer Victor Boniface is close to joining Saudi club Al-Nassr.
