Here we go! Barcelona talent leaves for Serie A
One of Barcelona's brightest young talents is preparing for a new chapter in Italy.
Details: According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, Venezia have reached a verbal agreement with Barcelona for the transfer of 18-year-old attacking midfielder Toni Fernandez. Romano has already given the deal his famous here we go.
The Italian club are set to pay €4 million for Fernandez. Barcelona will also retain a 50% sell-on clause, while the agreement includes a buy-back clause requested by sporting director Deco.
The transfer has not yet been officially announced by either club, but reports in Spain and Italy indicate that only the final paperwork and signatures remain before the move is completed.
Fernandez is a product of Barcelona's academy and can operate as an attacking midfielder, right winger or centre-forward. He spent the summer preparing with the first team, but a permanent place in Hansi Flick's senior squad was not guaranteed. The move to Venezia will now give the Spaniard the opportunity to continue his development in Serie A.
It is worth noting that Fernandez made 25 appearances for Barça Atlètic in the 2025/26 season, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists. Transfermarkt currently estimates his market value at €3 million.
