Details: Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement with Sporting for the transfer of Danish midfielder Morten Hjulmand. According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is fully agreed and the clubs will start exchanging the necessary paperwork today.
The transfer fee will be €40 million plus bonuses. The player himself has already agreed on a long-term contract with Los Colchoneros until June 2031.
Hjulmand is expected to fly to Madrid today, where he will complete the final formalities before the official announcement of the transfer.
Last season, Hjulmand played 45 matches for Atlético, scoring 3 goals and providing 6 assists. His market value is estimated at €45 million by Transfermarkt.
