Here we go! Al-Sadd seal permanent transfer of Lazio defender Romagnoli

Alessio Romagnoli is officially heading to the Middle East for a brand new chapter in his career.

Details: According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, Qatari side Al-Sadd and Lazio are currently exchanging all official documents to finalize the transfer of Italian centre-back Alessio Romagnoli. The deal is completely agreed upon and will see the defender make a permanent move away from the Italian capital.

The former AC Milan and Lazio captain has agreed to personal terms on a four-year contract running until June 2030, committing his long-term future to the Qatar Stars League outfit.

Romagnoli departs European football after more than a decade of competing at the highest level in Serie A, bringing vast defensive experience, leadership, and tactical awareness to Al-Sadd's backline.

It is worth noting that according to Transfermarkt, the 31-year-old Italian defender's current market value stands at €6 million.
