Ter Stegen does not want to leave Barcelona on his own accord.

Details: According to DiarioAS, Catalonia’s Barcelona is actively searching for ways to part ways with 34-year-old German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen.

It is reported that Ter Stegen’s hefty salary and frequent injuries are putting significant strain on the Catalans’ wage bill, making it difficult for them to complete new transfers. The German keeper’s salary is so high that Barcelona simply cannot afford to keep him on the squad, not even as a backup, and are therefore hoping Ter Stegen will agree to a mutual contract termination.

Ter Stegen joined Barcelona in 2014 from Borussia Mönchengladbach for 12 million euros. He has played 423 matches for the Blaugrana, conceding 416 goals and keeping 176 clean sheets.

Reminder: It has been revealed whether Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal will start in Spain's first World Cup match
