Hearn names George Kambosos' next opponent
Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn has revealed who former unified lightweight world champion George Kambosos will face in his next fight.
Details. According to the promoter, the Australian is set to fight in June against IBF junior welterweight titleholder Richardson Hitchins.
Quote. “The fight date is June 21. That's what we're aiming for. There are no changes to this date.
Hitchins will be fighting on that day against Kambosos or someone else. I don't think George's cut is that serious. It will take four or five weeks for the cut to heal. But he'll be in shape and ready to spar again. He needs to make this date, and I believe he can do it,” Hearn told The Ring following Kambosos' unanimous decision victory in Sydney, Australia.
Reminder. On March 22, Kambosos defeated Jake Wiley by unanimous decision. The Australian secured a comfortable points victory.
