Mudryk has a chance to return to the pitch in the near future.

Details: Well-known Ukrainian journalist Ihor Tsyhanyk stated in one of his podcasts that a return this season for 25-year-old Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk is highly unlikely.

According to Tsyhanyk, there are currently no grounds to expect Mudryk back this campaign:

"In fact, Mudryk was eligible to play for Chelsea until June 2025. Why? Because on June 18, it was reported that the English Football Association had charged him with violating anti-doping regulations. Most likely, we won't see Mudryk again this season. If he begins training with Chelsea, it will mean that in three months, he will be able to return to the pitch.

Now the English FA must set the final length of his suspension, which is unlikely to be four years. Another issue is that Chelsea, after receiving the FA's verdict, will appeal in court. If it's proven that Mudryk took a banned substance while with the Ukrainian national team, all of Chelsea's claims will be directed at the UAF. After all, someone will have to compensate the London club for this whole situation." Tsyhanyk stated.

At the moment, there is still no final verdict on the length of Mudryk's suspension, but in London, there is optimism that the Ukrainian will be able to resume his career soon.

Mykhailo Mudryk joined Chelsea in 2023 from Shakhtar Donetsk for €70 million. Before his suspension, he managed to play 73 matches for Chelsea, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists.

His contract with Chelsea runs until 2031.

Reminder: Chelsea make their decision. The club has no intention of selling Cole Palmer
