La Liga president Javier Tebas is arguably the most media-savvy league boss in all of Europe, never missing a chance to speak out publicly. Players in the Spanish championship are taking notice as well.
Details: Tebas recently stated that he would not allow the Club World Cup to be held again, prompting a response from Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian shot-stopper remarked that the La Liga president is seeking attention, and he hasn't come across this behavior anywhere else.
Quote: "I've never seen a president like Tebas. He’s always the same—he really craves attention. Hearing such comments from a president is something I've never experienced in Italy, England, or even the NBA. The Club World Cup exists, and we're here. It is what it is," Courtois said.
Reminder: After losing 0-4 to PSG, Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso said the team is entering a new era.
