Former teammate of Zlatan Ibrahimović at Inter and AC Milan, Sulley Muntari, shared his opinion on why the Swedish striker never managed to win the Ballon d’Or.

Quote. "Zlatan didn’t intimidate me as a teammate, not at all. He simply wanted the best from everyone. He had the ability to make an impact in matches, regardless of his form in training.

I played with him at Inter and Milan. He was a top player, one of the best of his generation. But he never won the Ballon d’Or because he talked too much," Muntari said, as quoted by Football Italia.

Reminder. Muntari scored 27 goals and provided 21 assists in 270 Serie A matches.

The Ghanaian midfielder also played for Udinese and Pescara in Serie A. He retired after the 2021–2022 season, during which he made 11 appearances for the Ghana Premier League side Accra Hearts of Oak.
