He stays! Lunin decides to fight Courtois for a spot in the starting lineup

The decision is final and not subject to change.
Details: According to Diario Gol, 26-year-old Real Madrid and Ukraine national team goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has decided to stay with Los Blancos for at least one more year.
It is reported that Xabi Alonso gave Lunin hope that he could win the competition against 33-year-old Thibaut Courtois thanks to his younger age and ambition. At the very least, Andriy will certainly have his chances.
Real president Florentino Pérez also expressed his belief that Lunin is ready for greater responsibility and serious challenges alongside Real.
Last season, Lunin signed a new deal with the club until 2030. However, this transfer window was rife with rumors about a potential move for the Ukrainian due to a lack of playing time.
Andriy Lunin joined Real in 2018 after transferring from Zorya Luhansk for €8.5 million. The goalkeeper went out on loan but in recent seasons has established himself as the team's number two and has repeatedly replaced Courtois between the posts.
Last season, Andriy played 14 matches for Real, keeping six clean sheets. Lunin's current market value is estimated at €18 million.
Reminder: A new agreement is already in place. Courtois to extend his contract with Real
