He stays! Ancelotti agrees new contract with Brazil national team until 2030
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and Carlo Ancelotti have reached a verbal agreement to extend his contract, with the official signing expected in February.
According to Globo, the new deal will run through the 2030 World Cup, giving Ancelotti another full cycle in charge of the national team.
Talks over the extension began back in October and continued through the end of the year. The confederation's leadership noted that the process was smooth and constructive, with the coach himself approving the proposed terms.
As a reminder, Ancelotti is already the highest-paid manager among national teams, earning around €10 million per year. The financial terms of the new contract are expected to remain similar, with possible adjustments to performance-related bonuses. The current deal also includes a €5 million bonus if Brazil wins the 2026 World Cup.
