“He looks like an apple!” Ronaldo brutally insults football pundit
Cristiano Ronaldo has delivered a brutally personal response to one of his biggest critics.
Details: The Portuguese superstar has taken a sharp swipe at British football pundit Simon Jordan following his heated argument with journalist Piers Morgan. The confrontation unfolded amid the controversy surrounding Ronaldo's fallout with Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus and his decision to leave the national team's training camp.
During an episode of Football Uncensored, Morgan revealed that he had personally sent Ronaldo a video of his argument with Jordan. The 41-year-old striker responded with an unexpectedly harsh message targeting the pundit's appearance.
“That blonde guy, tell him to STOP with the Botox. He looks like an APPLE,” Ronaldo reportedly wrote to Morgan, who subsequently shared the message with viewers.
The controversy began when Jordan, a former Crystal Palace owner, questioned Ronaldo's behaviour following his disagreement with Jorge Jesus. The pundit suggested that the Portuguese forward himself might be the common factor behind his repeated conflicts with coaches. Morgan strongly defended Ronaldo, arguing that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner had every right to demand respect.
The dispute with Jesus erupted after Ronaldo remained on the bench throughout Portugal's 2-1 Nations League victory over Norway, despite having warmed up during the match. The striker subsequently left the national team's camp, accusing the coach of failing to honour previous agreements.
It's worth noting that Ronaldo currently represents Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. According to Dailysports' latest match preview, the Portuguese forward has scored three goals in seven Saudi Pro League appearances this season.
