"He is not that reliable support." Bayern Munich legend criticizes Manuel Neuer's performance

Bayern Munich traveled to Barcelona for the third round of the Champions League, suffering a heavy defeat of 1-4. The legendary figure of the "Rekordmeister" commented on goalkeeper Manuel Neuer's performance.

Details: In an interview with Bild, the iconic Lothar Matthäus stated that Neuer no longer shows the same level of play as he did a few years ago. According to him, Manuel is no longer that reliable support.

Quote: "I don't wish any harm to Manuel, but right now he is not the anchor for the team that he once was. Manuel Neuer is no longer Manuel Neuer. His goalkeeping has changed. He used to anticipate every situation, had a 360-degree view, and could initiate attacks with precise passes," Matthäus remarked.

He added that Neuer fails to provide any security for the defense. Furthermore, Lothar believes Neuer could have performed better when Bayern conceded the second goal.

Quote: "The second goal for Barcelona is a perfect example—Manuel hesitated, then stepped out of his line and couldn't do anything about the goal," explained the legendary Matthäus.

Reminder: An unusual scene was spotted at Bayern's training base, where Bayern legend and 1990 World Cup champion Hans Pflügler was seen parking the players' cars.
