Legendary Zinedine Zidane has hailed Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe as the primary hope of French football.
"Kylian already in the pantheon of French football. He will make history, and I believe he will surpass everyone else. He is France's main hope right now," Zidane said in an interview with Téléfoot.
In early June, Mbappe officially joined Real Madrid, signing a contract with the club until the summer of 2029.
Mbappe's previous club was PSG, which he left as a free agent. The forward spent seven seasons with the Parisian club, becoming its all-time leading scorer: in 307 matches, he scored 256 goals.
In the concluded season, Kylian played 56 matches for PSG and France, scoring 54 goals.
The French national team will play its first match in the Euro 2024 finals against Austria on June 17th.
