He has been called the ‘new Messi’. Media announced the name of the player who most surprised Flick

Barcelona has made a splendid start to the season, winning their first five La Liga matches for the first time in seven years. However, the player on whom new head coach Hansi Flick has pinned the greatest hopes has yet to step onto the pitch.

Details: According to Diario Sport, the most surprising development for Hansi Flick during Barcelona's training has been the performance and work ethic of young winger Ansu Fati.

Many at the club had written off Fati, who struggled during his loan spell at Brighton last season and has been plagued by injuries in recent years. Nevertheless, Flick has blocked any potential sale or loan move for Fati, as he places significant faith in him for this season.

Reminder: Fati missed the start of the season due to a minor ankle injury. He is expected to be included in the squad for the UEFA Champions League group stage match against Monaco.

It has also been revealed how long Barcelona's new signing Dani Olmo will be sidelined due to injury.
