“He called me beautiful”: Keely Hodgkinson recalls meeting Giorgio Armani
British athletics star Keely Hodgkinson shared her experience of meeting fashion icon Giorgio Armani at Milan Fashion Week, reports The Sun. She attended the show in a stunning trouser suit, showcasing her fashionable side.
The athlete was invited to the prestigious event in September 2024 after winning gold in the 800m at the Paris Olympics. It was there that the legendary Italian designer noticed her and approached during the runway show to share his admiration.
“The craziest thing that has happened to me? I’m going to say when I met Giorgio Armani . . . He came over to me and put his hand on my cheek and called me ‘Bella’. Which I thought was really nice,” Hodgkinson revealed.
Following her Olympic victory, the 22-year-old athlete has become a household name in Britain and is now a contender for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
Hodgkinson previously won a silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and also holds silver medals from the World Championships in 2022 and 2023.
