Hazard approves. Ligue 1 will change its name from next season

Starting from the upcoming season, French Ligue 1 will welcome a new titular sponsor.
As per RMC Sports, the league will now be branded as Ligue 1 McDonald's, succeeding Ligue 1 Uber Eats. According to the contract with the new sponsor, Ligue 1 will receive €20 million annually, an increase of €5 million from the previous arrangement with Uber Eats.
This marks McDonald's second foray into French football, as the renowned fast-food chain is already a titular sponsor for Lens.
Sources indicate that Uber Eats refrained from offering a higher sum in the contract negotiation, citing the departure of Kylian Mbappé from PSG. It is anticipated that, without Mbappé, the viewership of Ligue 1 may experience a significant decline.
When Uber Eats initially signed the contract with Ligue 1, notable figures like Lionel Messi and Neymar were also part of PSG.
