Jean-Philippe Mateta was searching for a new club during this winter transfer window, and now it seems he has found one.

Details: According to insider Santi Aouna, the French striker has agreed to move to another English club, Nottingham Forest. The Reds are now close to finalising the details of the deal with Crystal Palace.

This season, Jean-Philippe Mateta has played 34 matches for Crystal Palace in all competitions. In that run, he scored ten goals and provided two assists.

We previously reported that Forest had made an offer worth around £35 million and are pushing for a permanent transfer. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have made it clear that they will not part ways with Mateta for less than £40 million.

Recall: London’s Crystal Palace have officially agreed the transfer of Wolverhampton striker Jørgen Strand Larsen.
